T-Ball

Ty is doing t-ball for the first time. Some days he likes and it and some days he doesn't want to go. Once he is on the field, he does pretty good. He enjoys hitting but so much the standing around part. We bring Bella with us (she had a name change recently) and the kids just adore her. Mia runs around like a crazy person and we all come home tired and hungry. It will be interesting to see if he wants to do it again next year.

Wisconsin Dells

We spent almost a week in the Wisconsin Dells. It was so relaxing and fun. We had wonderful warm weather. Went to the waterparks but mostly hung out on the beach and at the pool. The kids just enjoyed spending time with us pretty much doing nothing which rarely happens at home (unfortunately). I always remember the throwback bar we were sitting in when we saw Michael Jackson had died. Tyler's favorite parts of our trip - "fishing and going to the pool"

Meet Mika

I have to go back and add a couple more updates but it's been over a week and I still haven't posted a picture of our new puppy - Mika (pronounced MeeKa). Last week, Mike and I had a temporary moment of insanity and decided to go look at some puppies since we didn't have anything else to do and since we stopped at the ATM on our way to the breeder, I should have known there was no turning back. So, despite our intention to rescue a dog, we ended up getting a 6 week old German Shepherd. We got to meet her parents and older brother and they were so good with the kids. They were a good size (not too big) and were very docile and well-mannered. She is doing good. We are getting used to adding a new step to our routines but we are heavily crate training until she is housebroken. I am happy to report that she sleeps through the night in her crate without having an accident or crying. First night was rough but we are good now. The kids love her. Tyler especially. She is nippy which is a little hard with the kids but we have found that if we just exercise her like crazy she is much more calm. We are taking her everywhere and letting all the kids play with her and hold her. I am not sure if I am ready for this puppyhood journey but here we go. It has taken away any yearning for a third child which I think we Mike's thinking in all of this.

Tyler's B-Day Party

We had Ty's b-day party with family on June 20. First time with a pinata. Favorite gift was a fishing rod from Aunt Lori and company..

June 14

We went to a festival today and Tyler went on his first ferris wheel ride - no fear! I think Daddy was much more nervous than he was, those carnival rides are not always the safest. Mia loves the carousel of course.
